F/1

We have had a busy couple of weeks in the F/1 room getting into the swing of Term 2.
On Friday, we were lucky enough to attend the Tabloid Sports Day. The children had a wonderful day, and did an excellent job participating in a range of activities.
We had very tired legs by the end of the day, but the children were champions on the walk there and back! We are all very proud of
In Literacy, we have been focusing on our shared and independent reading, providing opportunities for the children to read for enjoyment. We have been making predictions about stories and texts, helping us to connect the illustrations and words in text. We have also begun to explore the features of narrative texts.
In Numeracy, we have continued to learn about counting, numbers and the different ways we can represent numbers. The Foundation children have been building foundational knowledge about single, and two-digit numbers; while the Grade 1s have focused on two- and three-digit numbers.
ASSEMBLY
The F/1 class will host our next assembly, which will be held on Friday the 15th of May at 2.45pm. We will be sending out your formal invitations next week!
SEESAW
Thank you all for your patience regarding Seesaw. After some technical difficulties, the weekly learning overviews will commence with the information for Week 4 of the term.
I will also share with you all a brief overview of what has been covered over the last fortnight.
Wishing you all a cozy, and calm weekend.
Miss Turner
