Student Leadership

Rugby Gala Day
On Thursday the 12th of September Bittern Primary School students attended the Rugby Gala Day at the Graham Myers Reserve. We had a 5/6 and a 3/4 team participating.
In the morning we walked across to the Graham Myers oval and when we got there Mr. E had set up a tent to place our bags under.
When the NRL people arrived they split us up into groups, the Bittern students were paired with St Jo's Primary and together we practised our passing skills.
The first game that was played was our grade 3/4 students against Moorooduc Primary, sadly we lost by one try, but they played really well.
The 5/6 students played against St Jo's and they also lost by one try however, they played a good game.
For game two the 5/6's and 3/4's played against each other. It was a close game but the 5/6's won by one point.
The next game for the 56's went well against St Jo's team. We won this game with a final score of 5 nil.
The 3/4's then played against St Jo's. Bittern had two adults on their team as numbers were low and they had extras join them. It was a lot of fun with the game ended in a tie.
We would like to thank Mr. E for organising for us to participate in this program and Mrs. Herbert for supporting us on the day.
