Music Notes

Kurt Abell, Head of Instrumental Music
VCE Music Recital
Nicole Bull, Head of Performing Arts and VCE Music Teacher
In the final week of Term 3, our Year 12 VCE Music students impressed us at their recital, each performing 20 minutes of carefully selected repertoire. The program showcased a wide range of musical styles and instruments, including voice, guitar, saxophone, viola and piano.
Every student included at least one group piece, demonstrating not only their solo skills but also their ability to collaborate musically. The performances reflected the impact of recent masterclasses, where professional musicians helped students refine their technique and interpretation.
With just weeks until their final exams, the recital was a fantastic showcase of students’ dedication, growth and artistry. Congratulations to all Unit 4 music students, and a special thank you to accompanists and teachers for their support!
