On Monday 13 October, we proudly celebrated the VCE Art Exhibition Opening, an inspiring showcase of the incredible talent and creativity of our senior Visual Arts students in Art, Media and VCD.

‘Voice, Volume, Vision’ was the theme of the exhibition. Each piece shared a personal story or message (Voice), spoke loudly and confidently (Volume) and showed us new ways of seeing the world (Vision). The exhibition was about being heard, being seen and imagining what comes next.

Our Senior School Art Captain, Charlotte Oswald, warmly welcomed guests to the evening, followed by a special address from 2024 Year 12 student Torin Hatswell. Torin shared heartfelt reflections on his journey at Kilvington and his current studies in architecture at university. His advice on VCE Visual Arts subjects and life beyond secondary school was both insightful and inspiring for our current students.

Award presentations were a highlight of the night, recognising students who:

  • Support and uplift others
  • Show positivity and enthusiasm
  • Embrace learning new skills and building on knowledge
  • Take on feedback to grow and improve
  • Commit fully and give their best in all areas of their Visual Arts studies

The exhibition welcomed families, friends, students and staff to enjoy an incredible array of media, art and design works. The energy in the exhibition was vibrant, supportive and full of pride, a true celebration of creativity and community.
