Student Attitudes to School Survey 

Every year, our students complete the Attitudes to School Survey (AToSS). While academic results such as those provided by the NAPLAN and VCE offer one metric of the school’s performance, the AToSS offers valuable an insights into the students’ experiences at school, including their relationships, sense of belonging and wellbeing. 

In addition to the survey, we conduct annual student focus groups to better understand what is working well, what can be improved and to collect suggestions from students. This feedback plays an important role in shaping the ongoing development of our school.

This year’s AToSS results are most pleasing and show our continued growth. Whilst typically our performance is above like schools and the state, our primary focus is on improving against our own past performance. 

The 2026 results are a testament to the work of our staff and students. In particular our renewed focus on teaching and learning throughout 2025 and 2026, together with the introduction of the VSC Instructional Model, that has supported ongoing improvement in the student experience. 

These positive results reinforce our commitment to providing a supportive, engaging and high-quality learning environment where every student can thrive.

Congratulations Alexander B– Australian Intermediate Schools Fencing Championship

Congratulations to Alexander B. on his outstanding result at the Australian Intermediate Schools Championships, recently hosted by Fencing Victoria. Competing in his first national schools event, Alexander performed exceptionally well to secure a bronze medal in the sabre competition. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to his dedication and hard work. Well done, Alexander!

PARENT CARER OPINION SURVEY – Please Have Your Say

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. 

The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026. All families are invited to participate in the survey.

The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Resources are also available in additional languages to assist parents / carers who speak a language other than English at home.
