Senior School News

Wow, we are at the end of Week 9 already! This term has flown by. Year 12 SACs and Year 11 CATs are in full swing and we are pleased with how the students are managing this. This week parents have had the opportunity to sign up for Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews which will run on Wednesday 1st April; 1:30pm - 8pm. These are valuable for the students to hear feedback on their progress in classes and for parents to know how they can best support their child. I know all students will be reflecting on their work habits from term 1 in all of their subjects and set some new goals to work towards for term 2.

In week 10, students will be receiving holiday homework in each of their subjects. We understand that holidays are a time for relaxation, but we believe that setting aside time for holiday homework helps students maintain focus and momentum, ensuring they’re well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

The Year 12s are very excited to have received their 2026 jumper this week. The Year 12 leaders helped sort through the jumpers in preparation for the students receiving them on Wednesday morning. This is perfect timing as the weather is getting cooler.

Punctuality

Punctuality to school and classes is important for all students and in particular VCE. Late arrival can be disruptive to the entire class. Teachers often need to pause their teaching to accommodate students entering, which can impact the flow of instruction and the learning experience for everyone. We kindly ask for your support in emphasising the importance of arriving on time to your child. Encourage them to develop a morning routine that allows for timely departure and arrival at school.

Community Service (detention)

 Wednesday morning 8:15am

Students who have had three uniform infringements will receive a Community Service as a consequence. Both the student and parent/guardian will receive a Compass notification when this scheduled. This will show on your child’s Compass on a Wednesday Morning for 8:15am.
