Student Leadership

International Women's Day Assembly
International Women’s Day was recognised at an all-school Assembly on Friday 6 March.
Two former students gave inspiring addresses - 2025 Dux Ava Collins and 2021 College Captain Nisha Makam.
Year 12 student have a special connection to Nisha who was a school leader when they were in Year 7. Staff were also delighted to catch-up with Nisha who shared her path to studying medicine. They all agree Nisha will make an exceptional doctor.
Thank you Ava and Nisha for helping MGSC celebrate IWD. Best wishes with your studies. Please return soon!
IWD Breakfast
Our Senior Student Leaders represented MGSC at the annual International Coalition of Girls School (ICGS) International Women's Day breakfast on 11 March. Once again it was held in Queen's Hall, Victorian Parliament House. A feature of this event is that the students attending are seated at mixed tables to meet other students from different schools. The theme this year was to consider their role as changemakers.
