MACS EYE OSHC Care

We have recently had a visit from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools - Early Years Education to survey the SPA Centre for our soon to be launched Out of School Hours Program.  This program will run from 7:00am to 6:00pm, five days per week.  Enrolments are open and application forms were shared with you via our last email.  It seems that the uptake is looking very strong.

When on-site, we received a list of upgrades that will be required in order for the space to be approved by the Department of Education.  These works are currently being carried out by our maintenance officer, Anthony Willemsen supported by various trades people.  Works include the replacement of the hot water service, installation of storage, a cleaner's cupboard and a cleaning trough.

Set up of the space is taking place between 15 and 17 April on the School Holidays.  Once all works are completed and setup has been done, there will be an inspection by the council, who will sign of on the facility.  Once we have this, the program will be able to commence.  Unfortunately, to the extra unanticipated requirements, this may not happen in time for the commencement of Term Two, as previously communicated.  I will keep you updated in relation to the anticipated start date when this is announced.
