Snapshots from Springvale
As Term one draws to a close, we would like to thank our students, families and staff for their hard work, enthusiasm and support throughout what has been a vibrant and productive term.
Last Wednesday, we celebrated one of our favourite special events, Harmony Day. It was a truly memorable occasion that highlighted the rich cultural diversity within our school community. The day began with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Uncle Josh West and Uncle Robert Ogden, providing an opportunity for us all to learn, reflect and show respect for the traditions of our First Nations' people.
We were also delighted to have mums from our Heights Campus perform a beautiful traditional Indian dance, which was enjoyed by all. It was fantastic to see students, staff, and parents embracing the spirit of the day by wearing traditional clothing representing their cultures. Our shared morning tea was another highlight, with families generously bringing along delicious dishes from their cultural backgrounds. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day so special.
Looking ahead, please note that school photos will be held on Wednesday, 22nd April, during the first week back of Term 2. If you do not wish for your child to be included in the class photo, please inform the school office as soon as possible.
We wish all of our families a safe and happy school holiday break. For those who celebrate, we also extend our warmest wishes for a joyful Easter. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 2!
