Student Voice - Heights Campus

On Wednesday the 25th of March, Heights Campus celebrated Harmony Day and what a great day it was! It was so amazing seeing students, teachers and parents dressed up in their beautiful cultural clothing and participating in the parade with so much pride and joy. The dances were truly a blast to watch and everyone was extremely talented in their performances. We are so grateful to have amazing talent at our school and even more so, our community being willing to share this with our school. Seeing everyone congratulating each other after the parade was very heart-warming and wonderful to see. We are so proud to be a part of the Springvale Rise Community where we all belong and feel included. We hope that everyone enjoyed Harmony Day and will continue cheering each other on.

On Wednesday the 18th of March the School Captains and Vice Captains from Heights and Springvale Campus had the opportunity to attend the Student Youth Leadership Conference at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The school leaders enjoyed learning about what leadership means and how to be resilient in different situations. The Student Leadership Team was left inspired and more passionate about their role and how they can make a difference. The leadership team had a blast!

As some of you may know, holidays are coming up today and if you do not have many plans, here are some ideas! Going to the movies is a great way to entertain yourself so if you are bored, you could book a spot to see one or more of the new movies. The new movies that have recently come out include Zootopia 2, The Cat In The Hat, Hoppers and the new Spongebob Movie. You can also go to the park with your friends and do some exercise or you could visit the city and explore the amazing nature scattered around. You can also organise some catch ups with friends, head out to do some shopping or do some art and crafts at home.

Over the holidays we want everyone to be and feel safe which is why we encourage all our students to use their trust hand. If you ever need help during the holidays or need someone to talk to, remember all the people on your trust hand. Since you are not at school it doesn't have to be a teacher, it can be a trusted guardian, adult, or caretaker.
