Book an Adventure!
Book Week 2025 - Monday, 18th August
Each year, schools and libraries across Australia celebrate the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book Week, a special time that highlights the joy and importance of reading. This nationwide celebration honours Australian children's literature and showcases the best new books for young readers.
This year’s theme, “Book an Adventure”, invites us all to dive into stories that transport us to magical places, solve mysterious puzzles, travel through time, or walk in someone else’s shoes. Every time we open a book, we step into a new adventure full of imagination, excitement, and discovery.
At John Paul II, we will be celebrating Book Week in Week 5 of Term 3, with special reading activities and class events to bring stories to life. The highlight of our celebrations will be the Annual Book Week Parade on Monday, 18th August at 9.00am in Emmaus.
Families are warmly invited to join us for this joyful celebration of books and creativity.
