Grade 1 | Leatherwood

In Geography, we are looking at the natural, managed and constructed features of places within our environment. This week we looked at the natural features. These are features that exist without human intervention and created by nature, like mountains and rivers. In small groups, we went on an imaginary nature walk. We identified the natural features on each of our adventures. Our students are beginning to understand how these distinctions help us describe and analyse the character of different places and how humans interact with their environment.
