What's happening in Term 3

We’re thrilled to announce that Adam Wallace, the author of Farty Pets, Accidentally Awesome, and many more laugh-out-loud favourites, is coming to visit!
He will be joining us 31st October to share his wonderful stories.
Halloween is here at the library! From the windows reminding you to “Read More Boooks!” to the spinning Mickey Mouse and Mummy asking you to “Get Wrapped up in a Good Book”, we can’t wait to celebrate with some fun dress ups on Friday 31st October.

Get your reading wish lists ready. The Book Fair is almost here!
From Thursday 30th October to Friday 7th November, the library will be transformed into a treasure trove of books just waiting to be discovered and purchased.
Come along before or after school to find your next great read, or visit us during the Karoo Karnival on Friday 7th November for some extra bookish time to browse!
Don’t miss out, it’s the perfect time to grab a new adventure, a laugh, or a mystery to take home!
All purchases go towards points which helps us purchase new books for the library. This year we are focussing on updating our Non-Fiction section.

Did you know the library has a counter of all the books that have been borrowed so far for 2025?
Right now, it is up to 14,182 and will be updated each Friday.
See how many more we can get to before the end of the year.
How we follow up
From time to time, library books go on unexpected adventures! Here’s how we help them find their way back:

We send a message home asking families to have a quick search.
Most books make their way back safely after this. However, if a book has been lost or can’t be returned, we’ll ask for a small payment to cover a replacement copy. The library is open before school every Wednesday if you’d like to drop books in or check on any overdues.
