Assistant Principals

As we reach the halfway point of the term, it has certainly been a busy and exciting time at Grayling Primary School. Students and staff have been engaged in many learning opportunities, special events, and whole school activities, with plenty more exciting events still to come as the term continues.
Celebrating Education Support (ES) Day
On Friday 15th May, Grayling Primary School proudly celebrated our amazing Education Support (ES) Team as part of Education Support Personnel Day.
This annual event recognises the essential contributions Education Support staff make within schools every day. From administration, first aid, library support, classroom assistance, intervention programs, and grounds and maintenance, our ES staff play a vital role in ensuring our school runs smoothly and our students are supported to thrive.
Our Education Support staff are the quiet heroes of Grayling. Their care, patience, flexibility, and dedication make a difference to students, staff, and families each and every day. Whether supporting learning in classrooms, caring for students in the yard, helping in the office, or assisting behind the scenes, their impact across our school community is invaluable.
We are incredibly grateful for the commitment and kindness our ES team brings to Grayling Primary School every day.
A huge thank you to our wonderful Education Support staff for everything you do for our school and our students!
National Simultaneous Storytime
On Wednesday 27th May, students at Grayling will join children all across Australia in celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS). This annual event encourages a love of reading and brings schools, libraries, and communities together to share the same story at the same time.
This year’s book is Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake Minton. The story follows Luna Roo and her teammates as they learn about teamwork, resilience, courage, and believing in themselves.
Throughout the day, students will enjoy shared reading experiences and classroom activities connected to the book. Events like National Simultaneous Storytime help build excitement around reading and support the development of important literacy skills in a fun and engaging way.
We encourage families to ask their child about the story and the activities they participated in throughout the day. Sharing conversations about books at home is a wonderful way to continue building a love of reading.
