Here's what's happening in STEM and  Science!

Year 11 Systems Engineering  class 

Over the course of Term 1, the Systems Engineering class has been busy learning about mechanical systems and how they have been developed and changed over time. This includes researching how mechanical systems have been used in sustainable and inclusive design practices. The students have also been working on learning how to use Fusion 360 (CAD software) to create various simple machines. As a challenge, the System Engineering students were asked to build a working model of a trebuchet using Legos. Below you can see a few images of some of the working models. In upcoming weeks, students will continue to learn about other simple machines and begin to design working examples of these machines using 3D printing techniques and/or Lego models.
