PSG Meetings

Thank you to the families who have attended PSG Meetings so far this term. It has been great to see the collaborative discussions between families and teachers, with these meetings providing an important opportunity to share progress, discuss current goals, and plan future goals to best support each student’s learning and development.

Remaining PSG meetings will be held during Week 10.

  • F/1/2 - Wednesday April 1st
  • Grade 5/6 - Throughout Week 10 (timetable TBC).

Intervention

In 2026, we are implementing the MultiLit Programs - MiniLit Sage (Grades 1-2) & MacqLit (Grades 3-6) - as intensive reading instruction to support students who need some help with their reading.

MiniLit Sage & MacqLit have been used by thousands of schools to improve the reading outcomes of their students. Evidence shows that students made substantial improvements in all areas of foundational reading skills as a result of participation in the MultiLit programs.

  • MiniLit Sage: Starting in Term 2, students participating in MiniLit Sage will begin engaging in targeted small-group learning designed to strengthen the foundational skills needed for reading and spelling success. The program provides explicit instruction in areas such as phonemic awareness, systematic synthetic phonics, spelling, letter formation, and connected text reading. Through these structured and supportive sessions, students will continue to build confidence and develop important literacy skills that support their learning across the classroom.
  • MacqLit: MacqLit is an explicit and systematic reading intervention program for small groups of older low-progress readers. It provides teachers with a comprehensive sequence of lessons that includes all the key components necessary for effective reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
