Max FM News is back for Term 3!! 

Tune in every second Thursday at 9:15am to hear two of our Year 6 students deliver the St Francis Xavier’s News on the air with Max FM. 

Our next schools news will be next Thursday, 27th August. 

Narrabri High School Transition Session

Exciting times are ahead for our Year 6 students as they begin their transition to high school!

Last week, students who will be attending Narrabri High School next year participated in their first of three transition sessions. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to become familiar with their new surroundings, meet other students who will be classmates in 2027 and begin preparing for this exciting next chapter in their schooling journey.

The group experienced lessons in Agriculture, Science, Computers and S.T.E.M. In Ag they groomed a steer in readiness for the Wee Waa show and patted a baby lamb. In S.T.E.M they designed a 3D monkey on the computer. In science they built and flew a gyrocopter. 

We look forward to supporting our Year 6 students as they take these important steps towards high school.

Garden Club is Back!

Garden Club has been a hive of activity lately! Our gardeners have been busy exploring our herb garden - smelling, tasting, and learning all about parsley, sage, thyme, and oregano. We’ve also been enjoying some delicious harvests, picking fresh strawberries, oranges, beans, and snow peas right off the vine, as well as collecting zinnia flower seeds to save for next season.

Victory in the Pacific and Vietnam Veterans Day

On Saturday, our School Captains, Weston and Stella, proudly represented St Francis Xavier’s at the Victory in the Pacific and Vietnam Veterans Day commemorations held at the Narrabri RSL. 

The students delivered a narrative reflecting on the participation and sacrifices made by Australian service personnel in the Victory in the Pacific.
