Semester One Assessment and Reporting

As students enjoyed a four day weekend with curriculum day on June 5th and King’s Birthday Holiday on June 8th, teachers have been working hard finalising semester one assessments. The semester one reporting process is now well underway.  Teachers will now be conducting final assessments and catch up’s  for any students who have been absent in recent weeks. Semester one reports will be released to students and families via SEQTA on the last day of term two, Friday 26th June.

Students will begin their semester two subjects in the final week of term two, Monday 22nd - Friday 26th June. Any student wishing to request a change to their semester two elective subjects should collect a subject change request form from the Year 9 office.

Year 9 Camp - Spaces Filling Fast

There are still limited spaces available for students keen to attend the Year 9 Camp to Melbourne CBD between 19th-21st August. Camp deposits of $150 are now due, and can be paid to the administration office via the QKR! App. Total camp balance of $615 will be payable by 31 July. Families eligible for Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) are encouraged to make use of this if your child wishes to attend camp. If you are unsure if you have CSEF funds available, please contact Kate Gardner in the Year 9 office, or phone the administration office on 5381 7100, and they will be happy to assist you.

Intermediate Sports - Winners are Grinners!

We would like to congratulate the Year 9 intermediate football representatives Nate Ellis, Nate Bacon, Baxta Wade, Lenny Carter, Skye Johnstone, Archie Knight, Hylton Penfold and Jett Rowe on their winning performance at the Black Rages and Little Desert Division Championship on 31 May. The boy played exceptionally well with their Year 10 team mates, winning all games to progress to the Greater Western Region Finals in Ballarat.

Intermediate netballers Ruby Bethune and Gretel Blake also enjoyed success at Black Rages & Little Desert Championships, playing with their Year 10 counterparts to outclass their opponents to win through to Greater Western region finals.

We wish both football and netball teams luck at the Greater Western Region competition!

Term Two Absences - Target 0% Unexplained

Year 9 Form Group Teachers are responsible for the pastoral care of our students. Part of this role includes following up student absences. If your child has been absent, their form group teacher will be in contact via phone or SEQTA direct message to resolve the absence. We aim for 0% unresolved absences each term! It is a great help to form group teachers if families can notify the college of absences via the absence hotline on 5381 7200 or via the QKR! App. Thank you for your help in assisting us to achieve 0% unresolved absences in Year 9.
