Semester 1 Report

Students and families will soon receive Semester 1 reports. This is good time for families to sit down with students and discuss their report, progress, successes, and opportunities for growth. Our College’s success is based upon students, staff and families working together. If you have any questions regarding any results, please contact the relevant teacher either via SEQTA or by calling the administration office on 5381 7100 and requesting a call back from the relevant teacher.

Mobile Phone Ban Reminder

A reminder that the Department of Education has in place a mobile phone ban that requires students who bring mobile phones to school to have them switched off and securely put away during school hours. This helps ensure that school is a learning environment free from unnecessary distractions and disruptions.

By ensuring mobile phones are kept away at recess and lunch times, students can interact with each other face-to-face, without the distractions and social pressures that mobile phones can cause.

I ask for the support of all our families, staff, and students in continuing to support the implementation of this policy in our school.

Term 2 Upcoming Events

We have the following big events ahead of us this term:

• Tuesday 15th June: General Achievement Test (GAT) – students completing a Unit 3/4 Sequence

• Friday 19th June: End of Semester 1

• Monday 22nd June: Start Semester 2

• Tuesday 23rd June: Western Victoria Careers Expo – students in Years 10 – 12

• Friday 26th June: End of Term – 2:30 finish
