On Friday 29th May, Horsham College proudly hosted the Intermediate A Football competition at North Park, Stawell. With two Horsham College teams competing against some of the region’s strongest schools, it was a fantastic day of football highlighted by skill, sportsmanship, and plenty of scoreboard pressure.
Horsham College 1 had an outstanding day, beginning with a dominant 48–0 victory over Wimmera Lutheran College before backing it up with an impressive 68–0 win over St Brigid’s College. Their strong performances earned them top spot in Pool A and a place in the Grand Final.
Horsham College 2 faced a tough Pool B, taking on eventual finalists Marian College and Stawell Secondary College. Despite the results not falling their way, the team competed with great determination and represented the College proudly throughout the day.
In the Grand Final, Horsham College 1 produced their best football of the tournament, defeating Marian College 53–1 in a commanding display. The boys moved the ball exceptionally well, worked hard for one another, and were rewarded with the Black Ranges & Little Desert Division championship.
A huge congratulations to all players who represented Horsham College on the day. The commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed by both teams were outstanding. We now wish the winning team all the best as they progress to the Greater Western Region Finals, where they will represent Horsham College against the best schools from across western Victoria. 🏆🏉


The Intermediate Black Range Netball competition was held in Stawell on the 29th of May, with Horsham College represented by three enthusiastic teams. The students displayed excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the day, making the most of the opportunity to compete against schools from across the region.
HC 1 had an outstanding tournament, winning all of their pool matches to secure a place in the grand final. The team continued their impressive form in the championship match, defeating WLC to be crowned Black Range champions. Their strong communication, skill and teamwork were evident throughout the day and were key factors in their success.
HC 2 also enjoyed a fantastic day of competition, recording several wins and demonstrating great improvement and resilience across their matches. HC 3 likewise had a successful day, coming away with a few well-earned wins and showing great effort in every game. A special thank you goes to Chloe H for her assistance with coaching and umpiring throughout the day.
The Intermediate Girls Netball team travelled to Ballarat yesterday to compete in the Greater Western Region Netball Championships and represented Horsham College with outstanding determination and teamwork throughout the day.
The girls had a fantastic tournament, remaining undefeated in their pool matches to finish on top and secure a place in the semi-final. Facing Mercy College, the team delivered an impressive performance, showing great composure under pressure to come away with a hard-fought 28–24 victory and earn their place in the grand final.
In the grand final, the girls took on Emmanuel College in a highly competitive contest. Displaying exceptional skill, teamwork, and resilience, Horsham College emerged victorious with a 21–18 win, claiming the Greater Western Region Netball Championship. Congratulations to all players on an outstanding achievement and for representing the college so proudly.


Our Intermediate Boys Football team travelled to Ballarat to compete in the 2026 Greater Western Region Football Competition in very blustery and cold conditions.
The team of 19 players had a great day both on and off the field despite only winning one out of their three pool matches.
Despite the challenging weather they played some great team football and gained some very valuable experience of next level football, playing teams from Colac, Warrnambool and Ballarat.
Game 1: HC 8 to Trinity Colac 22
Game 2: HC 2 to Emmanuel 51
Game 3” HC 29 to Mount Clear Ballarat 20

Yesterday, our Senior Boys Football team travelled to Ballarat to compete against strong opposition from Colac, Ballarat and Brauer College.
The boys started the day in impressive fashion, recording two excellent victories against quality opponents. Their teamwork, pressure and determination were on full display as they played an exciting brand of football and earned their wins.
With a place in the next round on the line, the team battled hard in their final match but unfortunately fell just short. Despite a spirited effort, the boys couldn't quite maintain their momentum and narrowly missed progressing to the next level of competition.
The entire squad represented Horsham College with outstanding sportsmanship, resilience and pride throughout the day. Congratulations to all players on a fantastic campaign and for the way they competed against some of the strongest school football teams in the region.
