Team Strengths Day – Thursday 18 June

Next Thursday is Team Strengths Day at Horsham College. It’s a free Free Dress Day, which means it’s not a fundraiser, but students are encouraged to dress in the theme of ‘House Colours’ (red/blue/yellow or green) to earn points for their house – with the added bonus of a pizza lunch for the best dressed home room.
At recess the house competitions begin in the gym, with Tug-of-War battles between Briggs, Darlot, Hall and McLachlan – then hopefully a staff verses students confrontation to finish the fight.
Lunchtime will find houses lining up behind their colours in the gym to cheer on the skirmish of all skirmishes, as teams enter the melee that is, Musical Chairs. A very serene Laundry Basket relay will end the festivities as students use a small pair of tongs to move socks from a laundry basket at one end of the gym to a washing basket at the other end.
A whole school event, organised by the House Captains/School Captains/School Council Representatives and chaplain, Team Strengths Day is a fun day for students to dress up and support their house while displaying the Horsham College values of care, collaboration, character and commitment.
