Year One Team News

with Steph and Emma

Hello Year One families,

It’s hard to believe we’re heading into the final weeks of Term 2 and already halfway through the school year!

Another big thank you to all the parent helpers that have come in on a Tuesday or Thursday to support our students with their reading. The kids have had a wonderful time being able to read with you all. We are planning on continuing this program throughout next term. So keep your eyes out early next term for more information.

Student Learning Conferences

Just a friendly reminder that Student Learning Conferences are taking place Tuesday the 24th of June between 1-7pm. Students will be dismissed from school at 12.30pm. We look forward to seeing you then.

NumeracyWe will be revising all topics we have covered this term. These include, place value, location, time and space.

Inquiry The students will finish publishing their information report. They cannot wait to share their interesting facts about quokkas with you.

Willy Kids/Respectful Relationships: Our Willy Kids focus is “Wily Kids Value the Rights of Others”. Willy Kids know that Everyone has the right to learn, to be safe, to be respected, to be cared for, and to be who they are. In Respectful Relationships we are learning to respect and value differences.
