Sport

2025 inter-school sports came to close in week 8, with our Yr 8 boys Table Tennis team competing at the State Championships. The team comprising of Rasha, Luka, Oscar, Noah and Kiane, travelled to the MSAC Sports Stadium at Albert Park, unfortunately our 6th member Jacob was unable to attend, but was there in spirit. Assisted by their Table Tennis coach on the day, Carey, the team showed how far they have come since competing at last year’s state finals. Winning 5 games throughout the day and a few narrow losses, gave us plenty to be chuffed about. Just narrowly missing out on a semi-finals birth, it was a fantastic way to finish the 2025 School Sport Victoria sporting calendar. The team represented our college and themselves to such a high standard throughout the day, special mention was made to us from a much larger Melbourne based school affirming exactly that. Well done BSC.
Special mention – Outgoing Yr 12 student Kaden Hicks placed fourth in the Javelin at the Australian Athletics All Schools Championships this past weekend in Melbourne. His throw of 54.74mt was a PB in competition, great work Kaden.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students who participated this year in the school sports and interschool sport program. There were many instances where you individually or as a team, stood tall and gave it your best, had a laugh, choked completely, dealt with injuries, didn’t agree with the umpiring (but never argued), supported one another on the field, cheered for one another as you crossed the finish line and in every single event, NEVER GAVE UP! Now that’s something to be very proud of.
Enjoy your break, the Sports Team.
