Wurrin News - Year 8

Welcome to Headstart

Over the past two weeks, Year 7 students have moved into Year 8. We have stepped into a new chapter together, building confidence, routines, and a sense of what next year will look like. These two weeks have given us the chance to settle in, connect with one another, and get a head start on the learning and expectations of Year 8. We’ve made a strong start, and we’re excited to continue growing, learning, and supporting each other as we move forward.

16 Days of Activism BBQ

On Friday 5th December for the 16 Days of Activism, our Wellbeing Team hosted a special BBQ during Break 2. The event was a chance for students and staff to come together, enjoy some food, and take a moment to recognise the importance of respect, safety, and looking out for one another.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported the initiative, and to our Wellbeing Team for creating such a positive, welcoming space for our school community.

Happy Holidays

Over the past two weeks, we’ve loved getting to know our new students and seeing them settle into life at their new year level. Their enthusiasm, effort, and willingness to jump into new challenges has already impressed us.

As we head into the holidays, we wish everyone a happy and safe break. Rest up, enjoy time with family and friends, and recharge. We can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve in 2026, it’s already shaping up to be an amazing year!
