Foundation

Students looked at the characters to celebrate Book week.

Characters included Maestro Pebbles, Pixie Pip, Phineas, Grok, Ember, Brunhilda, Taco, Bearnard, Lutz, Lofty, Prince Polliwog, Borris and Winston. Students chose a piece of paper with a part of the character - the top, middle or bottom. Students then used grey lead pencils to complete the missing parts and coloured wax crayon to add colour and texture.

Grade 1 and 2

Grade 3 and 4

Students continued to develop their clay skills. Each student make a coil pot. A base was made using a coil made into a spiral and then coils were added to make the sides of the pot. Students needed to think about their hand pressure when creating the coils to create an even coil. Smudging and smoothing the clay was important when joining the clay. The coil pots will be fired.

Grades 5 and 6

Students finished sewing their 'Goldfish' inspired by the painting by Henri Matisse. Students developed skills in pinning, cutting out a pattern, threading a needle, sewing a button, designing a fin, stitching the fish together and stuffing.
