Ex POW Book Donations

Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial – the first military memorial of national significance

In 2014 the Trustees commenced a campaign to suggest in lieu of wreaths, a book tribute be placed instead.  The following books have been donated to our Ballarat High School library.

• A Bastard of a Place – the Australians in Papua, Kokoda, Milne Bay, Gona, Buna and Sanananda written by Peter Brune.

• Pompey Elliott at War – in his own words written by Ross McMullin.

• Royal Australian Navy in the Atlantic and Mediterranean published by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Canberra.
