Year 9 VET Concert

On Wednesday 13th August, our Year 9 VET Music students came together to organise and perform a concert for friends, family and peers. As part of their certificate, students are developing industry-relevant skills across all aspects of music performance: collaborating with others, working with music technology, managing concert set-ups and pack-downs and running live audio.
The class worked as a team to prepare the Robinson Centre Theatre, setting up professional stage equipment, operating stage lighting and even taking on MC duties. The energetic show highlighted not only the growth of our students but also how their skills and professionalism are already well beyond their years.
I am incredibly proud of what these students achieved and cannot wait to see how they continue to surprise us. Especially with our end-of-term performance just a few weeks away.
