INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

Performances

Congratulations to the students from our combined LHS and Stage Bands who performed at the Lilydale Marketplace on Friday 1 December as part of the centre’s festive celebrations.

Students played a selection of Christmas tunes led by conductor, Mrs Ventura and supported by our percussion teacher, Mr Coles. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support the kids.

Unfortunately, due to bad weather, our Band and NËTA performances at the Lilydale Street Fair and Festival the following day had to be cancelled.

Awards Assemblies

Congratulations to all students who received an Excellence or Endeavour certificate from their Instrumental Music teacher and to the following students who received ‘Instrumental Music Student of the Year’ awards for their year level.

This is a most prestigious trophy that reflects the dedication and commitment that students have shown in both their lessons and as members of a band or ensemble.

Year 8 - Isla Canning (flute and piano)

Year 9 - Oliver Hardy (saxophone)

Year 10 - Avril Blanksby (clarinet)

Thank you to the student performers who played at the Awards Assemblies – members of NËTA (Noah, Emmaline, Tom, Ayla and Josh), the Year 7 Rock Band (Austin, Sigourney, Brock, Seth, Keira and Ella) and Year 8 group (York, Caleb, Isla, Layla and De).
