Heartfelt thank you to our outgoing student leaders and a warm welcome to those stepping into their new leadership roles for next year. Our greatest appreciation goes out to our outgoing Gandhi students who represented our House as part of the 2023 Guild – Niamh, Parker, Greta, Ben, and Ophelia, and those who supported them as prefects – Katelyn and Claudia. Their passion, commitment, and tireless work ethic have set a benchmark for excellence that the incoming Guild will strive to uphold in the year ahead.
Special commendations must go to our incredible 2023 House Captains, Niamh and Parker. These students have demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills, ensuring that the Gandhi House spirit has remained nothing short of amazing throughout the year. Their ability to inspire, engage, and bring out the best in everyone has been pivotal in achieving our many successes in 2023. They have set a standard that will serve as an inspiration for future generations of House Captains.
It brings me immense pride to note that both of our School Captains for 2024 are from Gandhi House - Isla Andrews and Linus Miller. Their appointment is a testament to the leadership calibre that our House consistently produces, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I am also looking forward to the leadership journey that Emily Muir, Kelsey Goss, Alex Hassan, and William Owen will take as part of their roles as prefects in the year to come.
Finally, it gives me great pleasure to see Azeva Sukadis serving as our 2024 Gandhi House Captain. Azeva has already shown great promise and has years of service to the House to show for it. She will undoubtedly continue the strong legacy she has inherited from past House Captains, making 2024 another exciting year of excellence to look forward to for Gandhi House.

This week marked a significant moment of the year as we welcomed our incoming student leaders for 2024 and bid a fond farewell to the graduating class of 2023.
It was great being able to spend the week reminiscing with the Year 12 Lincoln students and I am extremely grateful for everything they have done for the House during their time at St George’s. To Sydnee and Lorena, the 2023 House Captains, thank you for the hours of work you have committed to Sync Swim, Glee, Theatre Challenge and House and PCG activities. You have been an exemplar of what it means to be a Lincoln student from the day you entered the school, and I could not be more proud of the legacy you have left.
I would now like to shift towards thoughts of the future and extend my congratulations to the Lincoln students who have been appointed to the 2024 Student Guild. Alicia Gregory as Chapel Captain, William Corcoran as Performing Arts Captain, Audrey Hunt as Community and Service Captain and, of course, Sadie Tibbits our 2024 Lincoln House Captain.
These are students who have contributed to both the House and the School in their time at St George’s, working closely with the outgoing Lincoln Leaders, and I have no doubt that the Lincoln family will continue to grow in spirit and camaraderie in 2024.

What an amazing and busy term it has been so far – and we are only in Week 2!
This week we had the opportunity to farewell our Year 12 students and it was lovely to celebrate and acknowledge those who travelled their journey at St George’s in Mandela House. I wish our Year 12s all the best for their future endeavours beyond school. Mandela House will miss you all enormously!
A huge congratulations to our Mandela 2024 Student Leaders who are a highly committed and talented group. I have no doubt that you will all do an amazing job. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to work with you all next year.
On the last day of Term Three we enjoyed a wonderful talent show at the Town Hall for Mandela Charity Day. A huge thank you and well done to all students who performed and show cased their talents in a range of areas. It was wonderful to see so many students participating and the energy and performances were amazing. Together as a school we raised $1200 for Anglicare WA, which is a phenomenal accomplishment.
Good luck for this term, Mandela. We are only 100 points behind Gandhi for the House Cup. We have got this; I believe in all of us pulling together to rise to the challenge that not lays before us!
Go Mandela!
