SEMESTER 2
OUTDOOR EDUCATION

SEMESTER 2
OUTDOOR EDUCATION
The Year 9 Outdoor Education class has kicked off Semester 2 with a pre-hike along the beautiful Bass Coast, from San Remo to Kilcunda.
This walk is part of the students’ preparation for their overnight hike at the end of Term 3, with a focus on planning, teamwork and safety in the outdoors.
Along the way, students investigated Indigenous land use, coastal and water safety, environmental hazards and local conservation efforts. Students worked together to lead the excursion, identify potential risks and develop strategies to manage them safely.
A fantastic start to Semester 2 and an excellent opportunity for students to build the skills and confidence they will need for their upcoming overnight adventure!
