Pathways

Have you seen the new Careers display in the Resource Centre?

The latest career pathways theme explores the Wanderers career pathway - careers where travel is core to how the work gets done.

Students will discover roles across health, adventure, mining, media, trade, events, and technical fields, from sports physiotherapists touring with teams to geologists on remote mining sites.

Data, Drones and Directions

Year 9-11 students participated in a two day Data, Drones and Directions program introducing them to a career in surveying.

Surveying is a career ideally suited to individuals who enjoy problem-solving, working outdoors, engaging with technology, and applying mathematical concepts. Students explored how modern surveying combines data, drones, digital technology and traditional measurement techniques to help shape the world around us.

The program also highlighted the range of pathways into the profession, including School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT), TAFE and other VET programs, as well as university-level qualifications.

Try a Trade Day

Interested students recently attended the Try a Trade Day at The Range Function Centre. This was an immersive experience designed to showcase the diverse career opportunities available in the trades.

Throughout the event, exhibitors shared their knowledge and expertise while providing students with engaging hands on activities. The day encouraged students to explore careers that they may have never considered.
