Careers Corner

Throughout May, students in Years 9–12 have had the exciting opportunity to participate in a range of Careers Excursions designed to inspire future pathways and broaden their understanding of post-school options.
Students explored a variety of vocational, TAFE and University opportunities through engaging and hands-on experiences. From interactive workshops and practical demonstrations to industry-based activities, students were able to gain valuable insight into the many pathways available to them after secondary school.
The excursions encouraged students to begin thinking about their interests, strengths and future aspirations. Whether exploring skilled trades, creative industries, health sciences, business or university study, students were enthusiastic in their participation and enjoyed learning about the many possibilities available to them.
These experiences play an important role in helping students make informed decisions as they move through their senior years. Developing an understanding of career pathways early allows students to confidently select subjects and opportunities that align with their future goals.
As we approach the Senior Pathways Information Evening on Tuesday 3rd June, we encourage all students and families in the Years 9–12 community to begin conversations about future pathways, senior subject selections, and post-school aspirations. The evening will provide valuable information to support students in planning for a successful and rewarding future.
Last week we also celebrated National Careers Week. Students participated in a fun game of ‘Careers Scattergories‘ during TA time to get them thinking about the many different career possibilities. Thanks to Jo and Trish in the library for creating a fabulous display for students to access, relating to future pathways and possibilities.
We look forward to continuing to support our students as they explore their interests, discover new opportunities and plan for life beyond school.
