It has been encouraging to see our community unite around the values of kindness, growth, and wellbeing in recent weeks. From Do It For Dolly Day to specialist coaching for staff, this term highlights our collective efforts to foster a positive environment for every student. We also invite families to explore the latest resource on our SchoolTV platform.
Do It For Dolly Day
During Week 3 this term, our College community came together to honour the memory of Dolly Everett and the message she left behind; that kindness matters and that looking out for one another can make all the difference.
The week began with a special visit from Bulla Dairy Foods as part of their Scoops of Kindness community tour. Students and staff enjoyed complimentary ice creams while reflecting on Dolly’s legacy and the importance of showing kindness in everyday interactions.
On Do It For Dolly Day itself, students and staff wore a touch of blue alongside their College uniform in support of the day’s message. During Teacher Advisor time, students participated in meaningful kindness activities that explored what it means to genuinely care for and support others. Our senior students also worked with students across the College to create a Kindness display that invited contributions from the wider school community.
We thank Bulla Family Dairy for their generous support and our staff for creating such a thoughtful experience. Together, these moments reinforced the values of respect and empathy that sit at the heart of our College community.

Classroom Mastery: Supporting a Safe and Predictable Learning Environment

This week, our College welcomed a visit from a Classroom Mastery coach, who worked with our teaching staff to support the consistent implementation of our schoolwide routines and practices.
Clear, structured routines across classrooms create safety and predictability, allowing students to focus on learning. Consistent expectations reduce anxiety, support positive behaviour and foster mutual respect. This coaching visit gave staff an opportunity to reflect and ensure every student benefits from a calm environment. We are proud of our teachers’ dedication and its positive impact on students.
Now on SchoolTV: Dealing with Conflict

Conflict is a natural part of family life, and how it is managed plays a key role in shaping a child's ability to communicate, regulate emotions and navigate relationships. For adult carers, supporting children through conflict means staying calm, listening with empathy and modelling respectful problem-solving skills that build resilience and strengthen relationships over time.
The latest edition of SchoolTV explores practical strategies to help families approach conflict with greater understanding and confidence. We encourage all families to take a moment to engage with this valuable resource.
