Three Levels of Government

We have been learning about the 3 levels of government in our HaSS unit. We made triaramas to show what each level is responsible for. The Federal Government is responsible for things such as immigration, taxation, communications, currency, defence and trade. The State Government is responsible for things such as water, roads, schools, hospitals, police, mining and agriculture. Local Government is responsible for things such as pet control, parks, rubbish collection, street signage, libraries and parking. 

Perspective Art

In Art, we have been using a vanishing point to create a scene showing perspective. The smaller the object, the further away it appears. We worked on creating our pictures step by step using lines to mark out where our trees and buildings needed to go. Once we outlined them with a black sharpie, we rubbed out the lines we no longer needed, customised them with details such as streetlights and vehicles and coloured them in.
