GEM Day

Last Friday was our first GEM Day for the year. Students wore the GEM + EL colours and had a great time doing activities in their classrooms around Gratitude. They wrote things they were thankful for on sticky notes that were then placed on a big letter that spelled out the word Gratitude. They added links to a Gratitude Chain where they wrote about someone or something in their lives they are grateful for.
They also made some special Gratitude Cards to give to people they are grateful for. We saw some beautiful smiles coming from people at school who were lucky enough to receive one of these special cards. At the end of the day we had a special Gratitude Dance Party in Emmaus with some pretty groovy lights! (Thanks Mr Hutchins!) In between songs students shared with the community the people and things that fill them with Gratitude in their lives at school.
Thanks so much to our families for supporting this day of celebration. It was very memorable!
