SACSA Boys Basketball Carnival

Last Friday, two teams represented Good Shepherd at the SACSA Boys Basketball Carnival – GS Gold (Shawn) and GS Silver (Tim).

Both teams played with great spirit, teamwork, and determination throughout the day, showing strong skills on the court and fantastic support for one another.

A big thank you to Mr Zeppel and Mr English for coaching and guiding the teams, and well done to all the boys for proudly representing Good Shepherd!

GS Year 5/6 Cricket

The team took to the field on Saturday for the first game of the summer against the East Adelaide School White. Choosing to bat first, captain of the week Eden led Zac, Jonte, Jaxon, Nathan, Harshiv, Bryan, Andreas, Cruz, Logan, and Arinjay in a game that had it all (including the first 6 of the season hit by Cruz). 

The very close, fun, and entertaining game came to a thrilling finish in a dramatic final over, when East Adelaide needed 4 runs to win. The Good Shepherd team showed great determination, resilience, and teamwork throughout to secure a 3-run win on the second to last ball of the game, with a sensational runout. 

Final scores were Good Shepherd 4/79 to East Adelaide’s 76. 

Thanks to East Adelaide White for a fun and competitive match played in the spirit of cricket.
