From the Principal

What a week – from enjoying the sun to considering using the heater at home … the weather has certainly had an impact me and I am sure your family.
It is with excitement that I can announce our 2026 staff leadership team. As a team we are excited to be supporting staff, students and families across the Primary school into the future.
Deputy Principal Mrs Claudia Deanshaw
Teaching and Learning Leader Ms Karen Leese
Junior Primary Leader Mrs Kate Burton
Senior Primary Leader Mrs Therese Abraham
Learning Enrichment Leader Mrs Anne Carter
Ms Leese will be joining us as the Teaching and Learning leader and brings nearly 30 years of teaching experience with expertise in leading a small school and involved in curriculum and teacher development in both Australia and Internationally. Her experience in teaching spans across all primary years including specialist subjects. Her commitment to Lutheran schooling is deep, having served in Lutheran schools across three states. Ms Leese will visit later in the term to spend time with Mr Grierson learning about the role here at Good Shepherd.
Curiosity ELC will continue to be led by Mrs Jasmyn Nicholls and Imagination OSHC by Ms Skyla Charman.
In preparation for supporting student with transitions, later in the term we will share which stage staff will be teaching for 2026. Our move up morning, on the 8th December, will be when students will find out their specific teacher if they are moving into a new stage. As we are welcoming some of our 2026 Foundation students for transitions this week, we can announce that Mrs Lovell, Mrs Hart and Mrs Cobbing will continue to support the learning in our Foundation classes next year.
