Health at School

Many families may be aware that our school community is currently seeing increased cases of several illnesses, including:
- COVID-19
- Influenza A
- Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
At Good Shepherd, the wellbeing of our students, staff and families remains our top priority. To help reduce the spread and keep everyone safe, we are taking extra precautions at school. This includes:
- Increasing handwashing routines for students and staff
- Enhancing cleaning and sanitisation of shared spaces and high-touch surfaces
- Encouraging respiratory hygiene and safe practices throughout the day
We kindly ask families to remain vigilant at home as well. We understand it may be tricky navigating around work commitments, but we ask that if your child is unwell, please keep them home and seek advice from your GP.
For up-to-date information and guidance on these illnesses, we recommend visiting the SA Health website.
We will continue to monitor our absentees, targeting specific rooms and common spaces for deep cleaning. We thank you for your continued support in keeping our school community healthy and safe.
