SA Power Works Scheduled - Monday 17th November

We’ve been advised by SA Power Networks that works will be taking place at the end of our driveway near Hillary Crescent next Monday, 17th November from 9:30am.

These works were previously postponed after discussions around minimising disruption to Kiss and Drop traffic. During this rescheduled time, there will be periods when vehicles may need to stop exiting the driveway while work is completed overhead.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as this important maintenance is carried out safely.

Bless Others This Christmas with Gifts of Grace

Next week (Week 5), families will receive their Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) Gifts of Grace packs. Inside, you’ll find a range of meaningful gift ideas designed to bless others and make a real difference in the world.

With over 25 unique gifts – including seven under $15 – there’s something for everyone. Choose from options like ‘clean water within reach during an emergency’, ‘organic fertiliser turning scraps into harvest’, or ‘school resources to help students with the things they need to learn’.

Each purchase is tax deductible and comes with a Grace Card to give to a loved one. Plus, the first 500 orders will receive a beautiful Christmas tree ornament, hand-crafted from olive wood by a group of people with disabilities in Bethlehem.

A simple way to share love, hope and generosity this Christmas.

Lutheran Care 12 Days of Giving

Families and students of Good Shepherd have always been generous at Christmas time in supporting the Lutheran Care Christmas Hampers. Lutheran Care’s Emergency Relief teams have shared which items their pantries are running low on and what is helpful for families in need at Christmas time. You can find these items listed in the accompanying poster. 

To get involved you are invited to find the items in your pantry or add an item to your shopping list, then send the donations to your child’s class on the day listed on the poster. 

We are looking for:

Tomorrow - Hot drink 

Monday - Tinned spaghetti or baked beans  

Wednesday - Cartons of long-life milk

Friday - Boxes of cereal

While Lutheran Care are listing 12 different items to be collected over the 12 Days of Giving, we understand that some families may not be able to stretch their budget this far and we are grateful for any donations you are able to give. We look forward to the front office being filled with Christmas Hamper donations.
