YEAR 11 AND 12 ART

Our Year 11 and 12 Art students recently enjoyed an inspiring excursion to the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery and the McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park. This enriching experience gave students the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of visual arts beyond the classroom.

During the visits, students gained valuable insights into the conservation and presentation of artworks, learning firsthand how professional galleries care for and display their collections. They also explored the curatorial processes behind exhibitions, discovering how themes are developed, artworks are selected, and entire exhibitions are brought to life.

The excursion was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with real-world art practices, further developing their understanding and appreciation of the visual arts.
