 BOOK AN ADVENTURE

BOOK WEEK IS COMING! AUGUST 18 - 22

Book Week 2025 is just around the corner, and we have an exciting line up of activities planned to celebrate the theme “Book an Adventure.” We hope to see all students getting involved in the fun, competitions, and special events throughout the week.

Library Fun All Week!

COMPETITION RUNNING ALL WEEK

Think you can guess which childhood photo belongs to which staff member – and match it to their favourite book? Come to the Library and take part in our “Guess the Staff” competition. There are prizes for first 20 correct matches – and bonus points if you can guess who the staff member is!  Entry forms in the Library.

Surprise Competition – Tuesday

Shh… we can’t tell you what it is yet, but trust us – you’ll want to be ready! A mystery competition will pop up on Tuesday, and there are prizes.  Entry forms in the Library.

New Book Club Launch – Tuesday Lunchtime

We're starting a brand-new Book Club for students in Years 7–9! Interested? Join us in the Library on Tuesday, August 19 at lunchtime for our first meeting. We’ll chat about the kinds of books you love and choose our first group read together.

Dress-Up Day – Thursday, August 21

Our big Dress-Up Day will be held on Thursday, and we can’t wait to see students come dressed as their favourite book character or adventurer! Whether you're Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, or someone from your own imagination – the options are endless. Prefer not to dress up? No problem – you can opt for Free Dress instead. We're asking for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds supporting Second Bite and Fare Share, helping to fight food waste and feed those in need.

9A’s Sweet Treat Stall – This Thursday!

Get ready for something delicious! This Thursday at lunchtime, 9A will be running a special treat stall filled with a variety of cakes, slices, and some surprise goodies.

Make sure to bring some cash so you don’t miss out on the chance to enjoy something tasty and support a great cause. All funds raised will go to Second Bite and Fare Share, helping to fight food insecurity in our community.

Don't miss out – your tastebuds (and the cause) will thank you!

Author Visit – Friday, August 22

We’re thrilled to welcome author James Phelan to our school on Friday! James is the author of numerous books, including the thrilling series “The Last Thirteen” (available in our Library). He’ll be speaking with Years 7 and 8, sharing his writing journey and running a creative writing workshop.
