Every day at Wyndham College is a good day!
Based on your readership of our school letter, we are now publishing it twice a term with essential information you won't find on the socials. I am looking for feedback from you on what you would like to see more of or less of in the newsletter - email me at wyndhamcol-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au with the subject line Newsletter feedback to help us make your time here worthwhile.
Congratulations to Ann-Maree Ager (Deputy Principal) and Elizabeth Stubbs (Year 12 Parent) on being recognised for their service to the College during Education Week by the Public Education Foundation and Warren Kirby MP.

Warren Kirby MP visits Wyndham College
We welcomed Warren Kirby - MP for Riverstone to our school on Wednesday 12th August to see the great work our students are doing in Art - inspired by their recent trip to Cairns.
Year 12 students Jewen and Jasmine were excited to meet Warren and show him their award winning photography. Warren was kind enough to share some of his insights about photography with the girls and was impressed with the exhibition in the library.
School Reference Letters for Year 12 Students
Wyndham College prepares a School Reference Letter for each Year 12 student who requests one. This document outlines a student’s academic achievements, personal qualities, and future aspirations, and is often used when applying for university, TAFE, further training, internships, or entry‑level employment.
To ensure each reference is accurate and personalised, Year 12 students are required to complete a short 2‑minute survey reflecting on their time at Wyndham College. Students are encouraged to be honest, as teachers will also provide feedback to support the writing of each reference.
School Reference Letters will be printed and included in Year 12 Graduation Packs for all students who complete the compulsory survey. Students who do not complete the survey will not receive a reference letter.
If a student requires an urgent digital copy for a job or tertiary application, they may email sally.govett@det.nsw.edu.au once they have submitted the survey.
Please fill in the survey ASAP.

NAIDOC Week
The Wyndham school community came together for a meaningful Smoking Ceremony led by Elder Uncle Charlie Williams. This powerful cultural tradition offered an opportunity to reflect, cleanse and connect as we continue to build understanding, respect and reconciliation. We thank Uncle Charlie for sharing his knowledge and generosity with our students and staff. Gurung Ngurra
