Captains Corner

Hello and welcome to our next newsletter. I asked my teacher, Mr. Lou what week it was for Term 4, he responded saying ‘Week 4’. I couldn’t believe it; it’s already been a month since the start of the final term of the year. Well so many things have occurred in this time. Year 4 Camp was last week, Year 3 Camp Toolangi will take place on the 24th of November, time to get ready Year Threes!
Another thing which has started are the 2026 Student Leaders. They have started to take shape and now the interviews for School Captains are next Thursday on the 6th of November. Good Luck to everyone who have been selected and to those who haven’t been so fortunate, you are already a step ahead the rest, learning to write an application from scratch at such a young age is a wonderful privilege on its own so great job.
Another thing to consider are hats. It is getting hotter by the day and if you don’t want to get sunburned then bringing your hat and wearing it would be a very good choice to keep yourself safe and healthy while also making yourself a role model to other people. If you wear your hat, then others will want to wear it too. Another reason to bring it is because of Hat Lotto, this will be held every Monday Lunch Eating time so listen to the announcement and if you hear your name come to the staff room to get your free icy-pole. Make sure to bring your hat when you come or else you become ineligible for them.
Thank you so much for reading this week’s newsletter and I’m sure everyone is slowly getting excited for the long break in some time, but make sure you keep your behaviour in check, the year hasn’t quite come to an end yet. So many great events are happening closer the end of the year so get excited. Year 6 Graduation, Prep Prom, Luna Park, Leadership Day and The Year Two ScienceWorks excursion too.
Thank you Shiv, your 2025 School Captain
