Regional Athletics Competition

On Thursday 23rd October, six students proudly represented Glen Waverley Primary School at the Regional Track and Field Competition. Competing against some strong athletes from across the Melbourne region, our students demonstrated fantastic effort, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Each competitor gave their all in their chosen events, showcasing the hard work and dedication they’ve put into their training.

We are extremely proud of their achievements and the way they represented our school with pride and positivity. Congratulations to all our regional athletes on this outstanding accomplishment!

Shiv (6) displayed excellent speed and technique in the hurdles, placing 4th in a very competitive field. Arya (6) showed strength and focus in the long jump, achieving a fantastic 3rd place finish. Alexa (5) also competed in the long jump, performing strongly during her jumps. Ethan (6) demonstrated great power and control in shot put, delivering consistent throws throughout his event. Ellie (5) showed impressive skill and balance in triple jump, competing confidently against tough opponents. Ayaan (5) had a standout day, competing in shot put, long jump, and 100m sprint — finishing 2nd in both the shot put and 100m.

Each of our students should be proud of their efforts and the way they represented GWPS at this high level of competition.
