Grade 6 News

Mad Day Madness
Last week, our Grade 6 students hosted the always popular Mad Day, the culmination of a term’s worth of learning, planning and hard work in Business and Economics.
Over the past term, students have worked in small groups to design their own businesses. They researched products, surveyed potential customers, made financial decisions, worked within a budget, developed business names, logos and slogans, planned their stalls and products, and prepared for the big day. They also had the opportunity to pitch their business ideas and refine their plans along the way.
On Mad Day, our school was transformed into a bustling marketplace, with businesses offering everything from Oddles of Noodle and sausage sizzles to lolly stalls, sports arcades, waffles, 3D printing, slime, drinks and an impressive selection of baked goods.
Our Grade 6 students put their entrepreneurial, teamwork and customer service skills to the test as hundreds of customers visited their stalls, purchased products and enjoyed everything they had worked so hard to create.
We could not be more proud of our Grade 6 students and the enthusiasm, creativity and responsibility they demonstrated throughout the day. Well done to all of you!
