🏉 Footy Fever in the Auslan Room!

Footy fever hit the Auslan room this week with our Grades 3–6 students! Students explored how AFL can be made more accessible for Deaf people, including the barriers they may face and the ways these can be overcome. We also learnt about Deaf footballers and how AFL games are becoming more accessible through interpreters and other supports.

Students then learnt the Auslan signs for all 18 AFL teams and practised their new skills through footy-themed games and Blookets. There were lots of great conversations, learning and fun along the way!
