STATE SENIOR SOFTBALL VICTORY! || A HUGE congratulations to our incredible softball team! For the sixth consecutive year, they've dominated at the state level, clinching the championship for the second time. Huge props to our talented girls and our amazing coaches, Hannah Radford and Windsor Knox!

HOMEWARD BOUND! || Our Year 12 Outdoor & Environmental Studies crew are wrapping up an awesome 4-day adventure at Wilsons Prom. From surfing to hiking, they've immersed themselves in hands-on learning, forging connections with nature and each other.

TOP DESIGNS || Today, our VCE Vis Comm, Product Design & Technologies and Systems Engineering students had an enriching experience visiting the Top Designs exhibition at Melbourne Museum! They explored exceptional works created by talented VCE and VET students from 2023, spanning a wide range of design disciplines. From furniture to fashion, film to graphic design, engineering to web design, and beyond, this exhibition served as a powerful source of inspiration for our budding designers!

SETTING SIGHTS ON OLYMPIC GLORY || Exciting News! Kiara M (Year 11) has qualified for the Australian Swimming Olympic Trials in both the 200m and 400m freestyle events! The Trials, known as the most prestigious domestic swimming event, will determine the makeup of the Dolphins Swimming Team for the Paris Olympics. Let's cheer Kiara on as she takes on this incredible stage in Brisbane (10-15 June)!

OUR UPCOMING AFL UMPIRES || The Year 7 – 9 students who took up the opportunity to take part in an AFL Umpiring Course onsite here at the college have almost completed their 6-week course. They're gearing up to umpire Auskick at halftime during an upcoming AFL game! Keep an eye out for their debut!

FASHION CAPITAL SITE ANALYSIS || Yesterday, our Year 9 & 10 Architecture students explored Chadstone Shopping Centre for a hands-on lesson in site analysis. From existing structures to upcoming projects, they delved into the world of commercial architecture and retail spaces.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS || Our students stepped into the shoes of global leaders at the Model UN at Brighton Grammar yesterday to address the pressing topic of ‘Pathways to Peace: Addressing War, Conflict and International Security’. With guidance from Adrian Morrice, a seasoned researcher in political transitions and armed conflict, who brought his expertise from years at the UN Headquarters in NY (2005-2011), they honed their negotiation skills and championed their nations' perspectives, experiencing firsthand the complexities of diplomacy.

CHES EXPO DAY || A fantastic day at the Centre for Higher Education Studies (CHES) Expo for our High Ability students in Years 10 and 11 yesterday. An excellent opportunity to connect with representatives from universities, participate in interactive workshops, competitions, network with other high ability senior students and learn more about CHES and the foundations for success in VCE and university.

BEST (Science) IN ACTION || Year 8 students designed and conducted experiments to observe chemical change in their BEST PBL. They also tested their measurement skills by creating a 'rainbow' with different accounts of food dye. Meanwhile, our Year 12 Chemistry students conducted experiments to investigate chemical equilibrium. They also investigated rates of reaction with the iodine clock reaction. The time it takes for the mixture to change colour is altered by changing the concentration of reactants, temperature or adding a catalyst.
