Red Nose Day
On Thursday, 4th September, members of the Student Representative Council held a fundraising bake sale in support of Red Nose Day. A wide variety of homemade treats were baked for the school community, including slices, cakes and other sweet and savoury favourites. Students were invited to donate funds in exchange for a plate of goods of their choice and together we proudly raised $330.50.
Red Nose Day is an important initiative that raises awareness and funds to support families affected by the loss of a child and to help save little lives through research and education. The SRC is thrilled with the success of the fundraiser and sincerely thanks our school community for their incredible generosity and support.

Composting Project Update
Our Composting Project, led by Community Connections Captains Ruby Vangeninden and Gracie Brooks, is off to a fantastic start! Each week, Ruby and Gracie have been busy collecting compost from staffrooms across the College and ensuring it’s responsibly added to our new 400L compost bins.
We are excited to share that the Food Tech rooms are currently in the lead, with their compost caddies filling up the fastest each week. It is great to see such strong participation and commitment to reducing food and organic waste.
A huge thank you to everyone who is taking part - every banana peel, apple core and coffee grind adds up to make a real difference for our environment.
VCE VM students raising money for worthwhile causes
Over the past couple of weeks, our VCE VM students have organised some fantastic events that not only brought the school community together but also supported worthwhile causes.
They hosted a volleyball tournament in the gym to raise awareness for homelessness and support the Australian FoodBank, encouraging staff and students to contribute non-perishable and long-life food items to the donation bins they provided. In addition, the students ran two sausage sizzle events - one for students and another on Parent/Teacher/Student Conference Day - with all proceeds going to the Australian Red Cross Foundation.
Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our students and the generosity of our school community, a total of $124.65 was raised for these important causes. We sincerely thank everyone involved for helping make a difference.
