Many thanks to the parents and students that served on our outgoing school council.
Congratulations to Elisabeth Waycott who was elected to be our new school council president. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to our newest parent members Jeff Gordon and Silvia Vogel and student representative Caitlin Fankhauser.
Reports and Policies
Our school captains Aya and Abbey, alongside student representative Teiva reported on different events and activities that students have been participating in including interschool sport and the Year 10 surf camp.
Harry Ruff presented his principal report including a draft of the 2024 Mullauna Secondary College Annual Report to the School Community (ARC).
Artificial Intelligence – we talked about the new directive from the Education Department that staff are not permitted to use generative AI to compose emails to parents, or use for student reporting or feedback. Further, no personal information is to be put into AI.
Around the school
The impressive new front office refurbishment and internal fit out was discussed. The school continues to grow and it was noted that rooms such as A3, D7 and E1 have been converted and upgraded into general purpose classrooms. Building works will continue over the April holidays to improve accessibility of the school by upgrading many of the ramps around the school.

School council gave approval for the Parent and Community Association to run a barbecue on the day of the upcoming federal election.
