VIC KIDS EAT WELL PROGRAM:
In a first-of-its kind program, the Vic Kids Eat Well initiative is a statewide program which aims to empower students to create real change in their (school) community by making it easier for individuals to make healthy food and drink choices. Mullauna Secondary College is one of only 3 schools in the state of Victoria to be involved in this pilot program, which is supported by the Victoria Government and delivered by Cancer Council Victoria.
Commencing midway through term 2, year 11 students in Ms. Kimm’s year 11 Health and Human Development class will focus on a specific aspect of the College community and the associated food and drink options available for students to consume, such as the newly-formed Breakfast Club (led by Adolescent Health Nurse, Rebecca Bradshaw).
We look forward to following the progress of these year 11 students in their attempt to make healthier choices easier choices within the Mullauna Secondary College community throughout the year!
